The 30-minute assign rule, on a countdown
ezCater requires a driver assigned 30 minutes before pickup. Every unassigned ezCater order counts down to that deadline — yellow, then flashing red in the final 5 minutes, dark red once it passes.
GPS relay — counted, timed, and graded
ezCater wants courier locations at tight intervals. We don't just send them — we prove we sent them.
Sub-45-second relay
Driver GPS pings are batched and forwarded to ezCater at under 45-second intervals for the whole active delivery — automatically, with retries and backoff if ezCater's API hiccups.
Every coordinate counted
Each order shows exactly how many GPS coordinates were sent to ezCater, how many batches, and the average time between coordinates — down to the tenth of a second.
Late pings, flagged in red
Any gap over 60.0 seconds — a miss against ezCater's tracking requirement — is counted and flagged in red, with the worst gap shown. Zero gaps shows a green badge. You always know your compliance before ezCater does.
Relay health on the order
If sends start failing, the order shows a red at-risk state and retries with exponential backoff until it recovers — then tells you it recovered.
